R. W. was born about 1842 in GA.¹ R. W.'s father was Vincent Sears and his mother was Lundy Kimball. His paternal grandparents were Joseph S. Sears and Elizabeth Searles. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William Fletcher, Joseph T., Alfred S., Vincent F., Emily, Elizabeth and Mary Jane. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died in ?.¹
