Bessie Inez was born on August 27th, 1912 in Conecuh County, Alabama.1 Bessie Inez's father was James Hubbard Ryals and her mother was Nicie Ann Smith. Her paternal grandparents were James Madison Ryals and Nancy Ann Garrett. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named James Evert, Marvin Chesley, William Maxwell, Eubie Jason, James Wesley, Alton Lee, James Hubbard, Jr., Adele Crecy, Annie, Vera Annie and Estelle. She had a half-sister named Sadie. She died at the age of 83 on December 21st, 1995 in Warner Robbins, Georgia. She was buried in Rosinton Baptist Cemetery, Loxley, Baldwin County, Alabama.1 1 -
