John Petty

John was born in 1748 in North Carolina. John's father was William Petty and his mother was Elizabeth Merriman. His paternal grandparents were Thomas* Petty and Catherine* Garton. He had three brothers and a sister, named Theophilus, William, Hubbard and Rebecca. He was the youngest of the five children.
