Robert Auston was born about 1844 in ?.1 Robert Auston's father was Hugh Washington Mills and his mother was Cynthia A. McEwen. His maternal grandparents were Robert Bort McEwen and Rachel Hawkins. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Joseph Berry, George Washington, Hugh Washington, John Thomas, J. Lafayette, Albert Preston, Elizabeth, Charity M. and Mary Ann. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He died in AL.1 -
