Harvey Alexander was born on March 15th, 1850 in Madison Co., GA.1 Harvey Alexander's father was James Hill McEwen and his mother was Mary Catherine S. Strickland. His paternal grandparents were Isaac Alexander McEwen and Cynthia Carruth. He had a brother and five sisters, named Henry Clay, Malinda H., Mary Ann Catherine, Cynthia E., Letti I. and Martha A.. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 48 on July 27th, 1898 in Madison Co., GA.
