Cynthia E. was born on October 27th, 1847 in Madison Co., GA.1 Cynthia E.'s father was James Hill McEwen and her mother was Mary Catherine S. Strickland. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Alexander McEwen and Cynthia Carruth. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Henry Clay, Harvey Alexander, Malinda H., Mary Ann Catherine, Letti I. and Martha A.. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 91 on June 26th, 1939 in GA. She was buried in Jones Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Danielsville, Madison Co., GA.1 1 -
