Sheldon MERCHANT

Sheldon was born about 1841.¹ Sheldon's father was Chauncey Hyde MERCHANT and his mother was Helen DELAINEY. His paternal grandparents were Truman MERCHANT and Margaret SACKETT. He had four brothers and three sisters, named George W., John, Thomas, Richard T., Sally Ann, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.
