John GILBERT 
John was born on October 18th, 1657 in Springfield, Hampden Co., Massachusetts.1 John's father was Thomas GILBERT and his mother was Catherine CHAPIN. His paternal grandparents were Thomas GILBERT and UNKNOWN Lydia; his maternal grandparents were SAMUEL (Deacon) CHAPIN and CICELY PENNEY. He had two brothers and a sister, named Henry, Thomas and Sarah. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Samuel, Nathaniel, Josiah, N.N., Margaret, Mary, Hesther (Esther) and Margaret. He died at the age of 51 in August 1709 in Stratford, Fairfield Co., Conneticut.1 -
