After John Logan's death, Margaret moved near her father, Isaac Davidson,
at Mt
Olive, with her young family and reared her sons as farmers. James, John
Robert and Isaac Logan served with the Confederacy during the Civil War.
He may have lived and died in or around Herber Springs, Cleburne Co., AR.
While I have been gathering info from family members, I heard this story
twice: John Robert Logan had inherited part of a castle in Scotland but
he had to go there to claim his part. He did not have the money or means
to go, so he had to forfeit his part.. Rhonda
Aunt Dillie Logan Evans, daughter found this information in with some old
photos:
John Logan was born in 1827 in Georgia where he died at he age of 93
(near Columbus Georgia and Phoenix Alabama. he married Nancy Fulmer.
Their known children were John Henry, Tom, Boge, Archie Ella (Wilson),
Cindy (Graham), and Janie. Nancy died and John remarried; a daughter,
May, was born of that marriage. John had red hair worn a little long,
was quiet, with erect bearing. His son John Henry resembled him.
John Henry and Virginia lived for a time in Tuscaloosa, AL and then
moved to AR. Later they moved to LA by train. The train ran over a man
on the trip. Not saying that is true, just thought I would send it along
to you. Later, Rhonda
