His paternal grandparents were Wesley Jones and Martha Callaway; his maternal grandparents were Calvin Teel and Sarah Louise Griffin. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Alphonso Rinaldo, Calvin Thomas, Grover Cleveland, Ella Bethany, Ida Louise, Mary Dorcas, Senie Tilithy Jane, Emily Missouri and Martha Frances. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 84 on December 31st, 1962 in Birmingham, Jefferson Co., AL.1 -
