William Thomas Jenerett 
William Thomas was born on December 26th, 1876 in Near Loris, Green Sea Area, SC.1 William Thomas' father was John Wesley Jenerett and his mother was Bettie King. His paternal grandparents were James Jenerett and Martha A. Hardwick. He had a brother named John Wesley, Jr.. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 78 in 1954 in Marietta, NC.1 General Notes

Thomas was taken by Isaac Jenerette of Ash, North Carolina to raise and
was sent to UNC, after John Wesley Jenerette Sr. died in 1888. After
Elizabeth King Jenerette died in 1890, William Thomas Jenerette returned
to Horry County South Carolina to bring his brothers and sisters to North
Carolina. He rescued his brothers and sisters from Elizabeths second
husband who was abusive to the children. William Thomas Jenerette
eventually settled in Marietta, North Carolina and taught school in
Robeson County North Carolina.
