Young was born in 1807 in Union Co., SC.1 Young's father was William Greenberry Jacks and his mother was Delilah Young. His paternal grandparents were Edward Richard Jacks and Sarah Jones. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Isaac, Mary and Sarah. He was the youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 73 in 1880 in Caroll Co., GA.1 -
