Margaret Iola was born on March 29th, 1891.1   Margaret Iola's father was James Alfred Holmes and her mother was Margaret Ann Roper.  Her maternal grandparents were Freeman H. Roper and ?? Charley. She had five brothers and four sisters, named John Ervin, William Freeman, James Lenoir, Thomas Alfred, Charlie Roper, Mary Eliza, Emma Rebecca, Charlesy Annie and Ida Mae.  She was the third youngest of the ten children.
