father, Alexander Hendry, was from the Arran Isles of Scotland. Her
grandfather, William Cromartie, was from the Orkney Isles of Scotland.
Her grandmother, Ruhamah Doane Cromartie, is a descendant of Stephen
Hopkins who was in Virginia in 1609 and on the Mayflower in 1620.
‌Catherine T. and Hiram were married in a religious ceremony in March 1805 in NC.1 They had eight sons and three daughters, named Alexander, James S., Charles, Ira J., Hiram Cromartie, Isaac David, Richard Thomas, Harriet Amanda, Anna Jane, Elizabeth M. and Mary Catherine.

Ira J. was born on December 4th, 1815 in NC.1 He died at the age of 64 on January 21st, 1880 in Crenshaw Co. AL. He was buried in Fairview Church Cemetery, Crenshaw Co., AL.1 1
Hiram Cromartie Tucker
Hiram Cromartie was born on September 5th, 1817 in NC.1 He died at the age of 75 on May 6th, 1893 in Montgomery Co., AL.1
Mary Catherine Tucker
Mary Catherine was born in 1823 in AL.1 She died at the age of 36 in January 1859 in Pike Co., AL.1
