E. V. was born on December 24th, 1901 in AL.1 E. V.'s father was Charles Hewey Green and his mother was Nancy Josephine McEwen. His maternal grandparents were Francis Marion McEwen and Lena Olive Ransome Melton. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named John M., Benjamin H., Osmond, George Curtin, Lewel B., Charles Morris, William P., Robert Melton, Francis Cyle, Norma Golden and Lillian I.. He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 63 on October 19th, 1965 in AL. He was buried in Union Methodist Cemetery, Westover, Shelby Co., AL..1 1 -
