Steven Barner was born on October 1st, 1857 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Steven Barner's father was Travis Glenn Gothard and his mother was Aletha Williams. His paternal grandparents were George Gothard and Martha (?). He had a brother and two sisters, named George H., Louisa and Nancy. He was the youngest of the four children. raised Stephen Barner Gothard whose parents I believe were Travis Glyn
and Aletha (Williams) Gothard, he, Travis, died during the Civil War, and
she, Aletha, later. Was Stephen Gothard's relative perhaps George
Gothard of Talladega 1850 Census??
