Reuben was born on March 6th, 1799 in Buckingham County, Virginia.1 Reuben's father was William Garrett and his mother was Mary Branch Coleman. His paternal grandparents were Stephen Garrett and Magdalene Bernard. He had a brother named Allen. He died about 1861 in Bastrop, Texas.1 -
