George GASCOINGE

George was born in 1531 in Kirby Wharfe, Yorkshire, England.¹ George's father was JOHN (Lord) GASCOIGNE and his mother was ANNE VAVASOUR. His paternal grandparents were WILLIAM (Lord) GASCOIGNE and MARGARET de KNIGHTLEY; his maternal grandparents were JOHN VAVASOUR and CICELY LANGDALE. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Thomas, Richard, John, Robert, William, Frances, KATHERINE, Elizabeth, Joan, Alice, GRACE and Anne (Agnes). He was the third youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 89 on September 18th, 1620.¹
