Bethany Elizabeth was born on October 25th, 1873 in Castleberry, Conecuh County, Alabama.1 Bethany Elizabeth's father was William James Ellis and her mother was Mary Jane Castleberry. Her maternal grandparents were Obediah Castleberry and Mary Evelyn Rogers. She had three brothers and five sisters, named William James, Jr., Rencher Samuel, Paul Solomon, Nancy Evelyn, Meta Jane, Daisy Carol, Julia Anna and Jessie May. She died at the age of 65 on February 16th, 1939. She was buried in Buffington Cemetery, Castleberry, Conecuh County, Alabama.1 1 -
