Willie Jack was born on July 6th, 1911 in Castleberry, Conecuh County, Alabama.1 Willie Jack's father was James Richard Darby and his mother was Myrtle Blanch Holland. His paternal grandparents were Sidney Ransom Darby and Julia E. Garrett. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Jesse Lee James, Martin Holland, Sr., Mary Alyne and Daisy Evelyn. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 51 on April 22nd, 1963 in Loxley, Baldwin County, Alabama.
