Sarah Elizabeth was born in November 1888.1 Sarah Elizabeth's father was Sidney Ransom Darby and her mother was Julia E. Garrett. Her maternal grandparents were James C. Garrett and Evaline Rials. She had six brothers and two sisters, named James Richard, Rufus M, Archie, Fletcher, George William, William, Effie L. and Frances Gertrude. She had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Floyd Perry, James Norman, Lloyd, Sidney Ransom, Jr., Cauley Samuel, Mamie and Jennifer.-
