Edward was born in 1773.1   Edward's father was Richard Castleberry and his mother was Ann Trice.  His paternal grandparents were Paul Castleberry and Margaret Adams. He had six brothers and a sister, named Issac, Asa Edwin, John Richard, David Trice, Aaron Trice, Job and Ann.  He was the oldest of the eight children.
