Her paternal grandparents were William Castleberry and Jane Vineyard; her maternal grandparents were Abel Lewis and Elizabeth (?). She had three brothers and two sisters, named Jerry Archie Bolen, Lewis Vineyard, John C., Lucy E. and Martha Minerva. She was the second oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 81 on November 2nd, 1950 in Dublin, Erath County, TX.
