John's father was Thomas CONINGSBY and his mother was Theophanis ALLMAYNE.  His paternal grandparents were William CONINGSBY and BENEDICTA de FRERIE; his maternal grandfather was John ALLMAYNE.  He was an only child.

They had a son named Thomas.
