His paternal grandparents were James Berry, Sr. Anderton and Mary Cantrell. He had four brothers and a sister, named Caleb, James A., Jesse B., William M. and Mary E.. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 46 in 1901 in Garland, Dalllas Co., TX.1 -
