Edward I Longshanks and Eleanora de Castile were married in a religious ceremony on October 18th, 1254 in Abbey de Las Huelgas, Burgos, Castile.  They had four sons and twelve daughters, named John, Henry, Alfonso Plantagenet, Edward II of Caernarvon, Eleanor, Joan, Julian (Katherine), Joan of Acre Plantagenet, Margaret, Berengaria, Elizabeth, Beatrice, Blanche, Mary, Alice and Isabella.
