Eleanor de was born in 1251 in Warren, Sussex, England.  Eleanor de's father was John de Warenne , 7th Earl of Surrey and her mother was Alice de Lusignan.  Her paternal grandparents were William de Warenne , 6th Earl of Surrey and Maud Marshal; her maternal grandparents were Hugh X de Lusignan , Count Angouleme\La Marche and Isabella Taillefer de Angouleme. She had a brother and a sister, named William de and Isabel de.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died after 1282.

‌Eleanor de and Henry de were married in a religious ceremony on September 8th, 1268 in York, Yorkshire, England.  They had a son named Henry 1st Baron de.
