Robert le was born about 1235 in Knockton, Warwickshire, England. Robert le's father was John III le Strange , Lord of Knockyn and his mother was Lucy de Tregoz. His paternal grandparents were John II le Strange , Lord Cheswardine & Nesse and Amice; his maternal grandparents were Robert I de Tregoz and Sibyl Heiress de Ewyas. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John IV le, Roger 1st Baron le, Hawise le and Katherine le. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died on October 12th, 1276 in Wrockwardine, Shropshire, England.General Notes
