Godfrey de was born in 1116 in Upton Scudamore, Wiltshire, England. Godfrey de's father was Walter de Scudamore , Sir. His paternal grandparents were Titus de Scudamore and Joyce de Clifford. He was an only child. He died at the age of 48 in 1164.-
