William de Stourton , Sir Knight 
William de was born before 1361 in Stourton with Gasper, Mere, Wiltshire, England. William de's father was John de Stourton , Sir Knight and his mother was Lettice. His paternal grandparents were William de Stourton , Sir Knight and Joan (Jane) Vernon. He had a brother named John de. He was the older of the two children. He died on September 18th, 1413 in Witham Friary, Frome, Somerset, England.General Notes
WILLIAM DE STOURTON, son and heir. From 1382 to 1413 he was in commissions. In March 1385/6 he was granted the custody of the castle of Mere for life. From 1401 he was Knight of the shire for Somerset and for Wilts; and in 1413 he was chosen to be Speaker of the House of Commons, but was unable to act owing to infirmity.
He married, before 1398, Elizabeth, daughter and heir of Sir John MOIGNE, of Maddington, Wilts, and Easton, Essex, by Joan, daughter of John BELVALE. He died 18 September 1413.
