Johannes Shurts (Shurtz) 
Johannes' father was Andreas Shurts (Shurtz) and his mother was Catherina Appalonia. His paternal grandparents were Michael Shurts (Shurtz) and Catherina. He had two brothers and eight sisters, named Andreas, Johan Nicholas, Anna, Anna, Anna Barbara, Anna Catherina, Anna Dorthea, Anna Elizabeth, Eva and Maria.
