Liudgar Of was born about 0940 in Saxony, Germany.  Liudgar Of's father was Hermann Billung Duke Of Saxony and his mother was Hildegarde Of Westerbourg.  His paternal grandparents were Billung Count In Saxony and Alda Of Saxony. He had a brother and two sisters, named Bernard I, Matilda Billung Of and Imma Abbess Of.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died on February 26th, 1011.
