Marie Countess of was born on April 17th, 1199 in Aumale, Seine-Inferieure, Normandy, France.  Marie Countess of's father was William (Guillaume) III Count of Ponthieu and her mother was Alix Princess of France , Countess of Vexin.  Her paternal grandparents were John (Jean) I Count of Ponthieu and Beatrice de St. Pol; her maternal grandparents were Louis VII "The Younger" King of France and Alix (Adelaide) of Champagne.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 51 in September 1250 in Normandy, France.
