Alix (Adelaide) of was born about 1140 in Blois, Loir-et-Cher, Orleanais/Centre, France.  Alix (Adelaide) of's father was Theobald IV Comte de Blois , (II) de Champagne and her mother was Mathilde (Maud) von Sponheim of Carinthia.  Her paternal grandparents were Stephen "Le Sage" Count of Champagne & Blois and Adela of Normandy , Princess of England; her maternal grandparents were Engelbert II Duke of Carinthia and Utha von Passau. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Henry I Comte de, Theobald V Comte de, Marie of Champagne & and Agnes de Ligny de.  She was the youngest of the five children.  She died on June 4th, 1206 in Paris, Seine, Ile-de-France, France.  She was buried in Abbaye de Potigny, Calvados, Normandy, France.
