Julian (Katherine) was born in 1271 in Acre, Palestine.  Julian (Katherine)'s father was Edward I Longshanks King of England and her mother was Eleanora de Castile Cts de Ponthieu.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry III Plantagenet King of England and Eleanor Berenger de Provence; her maternal grandparents were St. Ferdinand III King of Castile & LeUn and Johanna de Dammartin Cts de Ponthieu. She had four brothers and eleven sisters, named John, Henry, Alfonso Plantagenet, Edward II of Caernarvon, Eleanor, Joan, Joan of Acre Plantagenet, Margaret, Berengaria, Elizabeth, Beatrice, Blanche, Mary, Alice and Isabella. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named John de Botetourt, Thomas de Brotherton, Edmund Plantagenet of Woodstock and Eleanor.  She died in 1271 in Acre, Palestine.
