Joan "of Acre" was born in 1272 in Acre, Hazafon, Palestine.  Joan "of Acre"'s father was Edward I Plantagenet "Longshanks" King O England and her mother was Eleanor Princess of Castile.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry III Plantagenet King of England and Eleanor of Provence; her maternal grandparents were Ferdinand III "The Saint" King of Leon & Castile and Joan de Dammartin , of Ponthieu. She had a brother and three sisters, named Edward II Plantagenet King of, Eleanor, Margaret and Elizabeth.  She was the second oldest of the five children. She had two half-brothers named Thomas de and Edmund.  She died at the age of 35 on April 23rd, 1307 in Clare, Suffolk, England.  She was buried on April 26th, 1307 in Austins Friars, Clare, Suffolk, England.

‌Joan "of Acre" and Gilbert de were married in a religious ceremony on April 30th, 1290 in Westminster Abbey, London, Middlesex, England.  They had three daughters named Margaret de, Alianore de and Elizabeth de.


Joan "of Acre"'s second family with Ralph 1st Baron de Monthermer , Earl Gloucester

‌Joan "of Acre" and Ralph 1st Baron de were married in a religious ceremony in 1297 in 2nd husband.  They had a son named Thomas 2nd Baron de.
