Eleanor of was born in 1123 in Chateau de Belin-Beliet, Gironde, Aquitaine, France.  Eleanor of's father was William VIII Count of Poitou , X Duke d'Aquitaine and her mother was Eleanor de Chatellerault. She had a sister named Adelaide (Adele) d'.  She was the older of the two children.  She died at the age of 81 on March 31st, 1204 in Fontevraud-l'Abbaye, Touraine, France.
