Geffroi V of Anjou was born on August 24th, 1113 in Anjou, France.  Geffroi V of Anjou's father was King Foulques V of Jerusalam and his mother was Erembourge of Maine. He had a sister named Sibilla of Anjou.  He was the younger of the two children. He had a half-brother named Almaric I of Jerusalam.  He died at the age of 38 on September 7th, 1151 in Chateau, Eure et Loir, France.  He was buried in Le Mans, Anjou, France.

‌Geffroi V of Anjou and Mathilda of England were married in a religious ceremony on May 22nd, 1127 in Le Mans, Sarthe, France.  They had two sons and a daughter, named William, Henry II of England and Emme of Anjou.
