Henry II of England was born in LeMans, Sarthe, France.  Henry II of England's father was Ct Geffroi V of Anjou Plantagenet and his mother was Queen Mathilda of England.  His paternal grandparents were King Foulques V of Jerusalam and Erembourge of Maine; his maternal grandparents were King Henry I of England and Matilda (Eadgith) of Scotland. He had a brother and a sister, named William and Emme of Anjou. He had a half-brother named Hamelin of Surrey.  He died on July 6th, 1189 in Chinon, Indre-et-Loire, France.


Henry II of England's first family with Eleanor of Aquitaine

‌Henry II of England and Eleanor of Aquitaine were married in a religious ceremony on May 18th, 1152.  They had a son and three daughters, named John of England, Maud of England, Eleanor and Joanna.

They had a son named William of Salisbury.
