Lord/of Nottingham William I Peverel of Nottingham 
William I was born in 1048 in France. William I's father was William I "The Conqueror" King of England de Normandie. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named Robert II, Richard, William II "Rufus", Henry I Beauclerc, Gundrade, Adelisa, Cecilia, Constance, Adela, Agatha Matilda, Anna and Margaret. He was the oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 66 on January 28th, 1114 in England.General Notes
He received from The Conqueror custody of Nottingham Castle which was built in 1068, as well as extensive possessions afterward known as the Honour of Peverel, consisting of about 100 lordships in the counties of Bucks,Leicester, Oxford, Beds, Berks, and Essex. He was considered one of the most powerful Domesday Tenants-in-Chief.
