Robert was born in 0916. Robert's father was Count/ Hurbert II OF VERMANDOIS and his mother was Adela DE PARIS OF NEUSTRIA. His paternal grandparents were Count Herbert I DE VERMANDOIS & SENLIS and Bertha OF MORVOIS. He had a brother and two sisters, named Albert I "The Pious", Adele and Luitgarde.
