Eberhard was born in 1015. Eberhard's father was Count Godizo OF THE BETUWE and his mother was Bertha. His paternal grandfather was Count Hunroch OF TRISTERBAUT. He was an only child.General Notes
Credited with the first unification of the country, convertedthe Danes to Christianity, and conquered Norway. After hisBaptism his fathers pagan tomb was transformed into a Christianplace of worship.
Introduced Christianity into Denmark, he had the famous Jellingrune stone erected in his parent memory. He was fatally woundedduring a rebellion by his son and successor, Sveng I.
He had a biological daughter named Adelaide.
