Charles II King of was born about 1248 in Naples, Italy.  Charles II King of's father was Charles I Count of Anjou King of Sicily & Naples and his mother was Beatrix de Provence.  His paternal grandparents were Louis VIII "The Lion" King of France and Blanche Princess of Castile; his maternal grandparents were Raymond V Berenger Count of Provence and Beatrice of Savoy.  He was an only child.  He died on May 6th, 1309 in Cassanova near Naples, Italy.
