Jane was born about 1567 in Of, Leckhampton, Gloucestershire, England. Jane's father was Henry Or Robert NORWOOD and her mother was Catherine THROCKMORTON. Her paternal grandparents were Raffe NORWOOD and Jane KNIGHT; her maternal grandparents were sir Robert THROCKMORTON and Muriel BERKELEY. She had four brothers and two sisters, named William, Edward, Robert, Henry, Margaret and Katherine. She was the second youngest of the seven children.-
