Matilda's father was KING William I The Conqueror Duke of Normandy and her mother was Matilda Countess Of Flanders , Queen Of England. Her paternal grandparents were Robert I "the Magnificent ," Duke of Normandy and Harlette de Falaise; her maternal grandparents were Baudouin V "Pious" Count of Flanders and Adela (Alix) Capet Princess Of FRANCE , Cts de Contenance. She had six brothers and ten sisters, named Robert II Duke Of Normandy Prince Of, Robert III, Richard of, William II, Henry I, Robert II, Cecilia Of Holy, Margaret Princess Of, Constance Princess Of, Princess Adela Alice of, Adela Alice, Gundred Princess Of, Agatha Matilda, Constance, Anna Princess of and Adela. She had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Robert III Prince, Richard Prince of, William II "Rufus", Cecilia Princess of, Adelidis "Alice" Princess, Adela Alice Princess and Agatha Matilda Princess. It was thought that Matilda (Gundred) married William de Warren, 1st Earl
of Surrey. That has since been disproved. For details see "Early Yorkshire
