Maud Marshal 
Maud was born about 1148 in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales. Maud's father was John "The Marshal" FitzGilbert and her mother was Sibyl de Salisbury. She had two brothers and a sister, named John le, William and Margaret FitzGilbert. She was the second youngest of the four children.
