Stephen (Etienne) "Tete Hardi" Comte de was born about 1050 in Macon, Saone-et-Loire, Bourgogne, France.  Stephen (Etienne) "Tete Hardi" Comte de's father was William I "The Great" Count of Macon & Burgundy and his mother was Stephanie (Etiennette) de Longwy. He had a brother and five sisters, named Raymond of, Ermentrude of, Gisela of, Bertha of, Matilda of and Clemence Clementia of.  He was the oldest of the seven children.  He died in 1102 in Murdered at Askalon, France.
