Geoffrey De was born about 1254 in Of, Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.  Geoffrey De's father was Roger de MORTIMER and his mother was Maud De BRAOSE. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Ralph De, Edmund De, Roger De, William De, Alicia, Isabella De, Isolde (or Iseude) de and Margaret.  He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother named William De.
