Edmund De was born in 1252 in Of, Wigmore, Herefordshire, England and his baptism took place in 1304.  Edmund De's father was Roger de MORTIMER and his mother was Maud De BRAOSE.  His paternal grandparents were Ralph de MORTIMER and Gwladys "Ddu" Verch LLEWELYN PRINCESS OF NORTH WALES/PRINCESS OF NORTH WALES; his maternal grandparents were William de BRAOSE and Eve MARSHALL. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Ralph De, Geoffrey De, Roger De, William De, Alicia, Isabella De, Isolde (or Iseude) de and Margaret.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother named William De.  He died at the age of 52 on July 17th, 1304 in Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.  He was buried in Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.

‌Edmund De and Margaret de were married in a religious ceremony about 1285 in Of, Fiennes, Bolonois, France.  They had five sons and four daughters, named Roger, Hugh De, Walter De, Edmund De, John De, Matilda (Maud) De, Joan De, Margaret and Elizabeth.
