Ranulph De was born in 1172 in Of, Oswestry, Powis, Wales.  Ranulph De's father was Hugh DE MESCHINES 3rd EARL OF CHESTER and his mother was Bertrade De MONTFORT (EVREUX) COUNTESS OF CHESTER. He had seven sisters named Hawise De, Amice de, Maud De, Agnes of, Mabel De, Daughter De and Nichola De.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 60 on October 28th, 1232 in Wallingford, Berkshire, England.  He was buried on November 3rd, 1232 in St Werburg`s, Chester, Cheshire, England.
